What is Reiki?

Reiki, pronounced "ray-key",  is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

How to prepare for a Reiki Session:

* Start with the intent.  
What would you like to get out of your Reiki Session?  
i.e. I would like to be able to relax.  I want to sleep better.  I want to quit smoking.

*Now turn your intention in to a positive statement.
I am relaxed.  I sleep well through the entire night.  I have healthly habits.

*Keep your intention in your mind through your entire Reiki Session

*Wear loose and comfortable clothing.

*Remember after your session, to drink plenty of filtered water and repeat your intention for at least a week.

*Jot down your experience and any changes after your session.
